BANKRUPTCY COUNSELING

Pre-bankruptcy counseling is required prior to filing a bankruptcy petition.  Our certified counselors can complete this counseling requirement with you in person, by phone, or over the internet via secure chat.  Once completed, you will receive your required certificate to include with your bankruptcy filing.  There is a $35 fee for this service.  CFS will provide this counseling without regard to ability to pay, and a fee waiver may be extended if you meet the waiver guidelines.  This counseling does not constitute legal advice, and should not be taken in the place of guidance and advice from an attorney.

BANKRUPTCY EDUCATION

Our Bankruptcy Education is provided in person through monthly classes held at the CFS offices in Boise.  These classes are scheduled for the first Saturday of each month, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and again at 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.  Please call our education office to register for the class (space is limited) at 208.371.1798 or toll free at 877.341.4636.  Or, you may register online by clicking here. When you register, please have your Bankruptcy Case # available.  The cost for the class is $45.  CFS will provide this class without regard to ability to pay, and a fee waiver may be extended if you meet the waiver guidelines.
